Who is this Privacy Notice addressed to?
Sentiq’s services are aimed at and intended for businesses. This Privacy Notice applies to legal entities whose data has been collected via appropriate legal grounds. It also applies to data collected from individuals who use our website and from applicants who submit their materials for an open position with Sentiq.
Sentiq’s services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect or process personal data relating to children.
What personal data do we collect?
Personal data refers to any information that can be used to identify an individual. Any individual that does not wish to provide Sentiq with their personal data is free to do so. However, this may lead to: the individual not being able to use or access our products and services; altered quality of the service provided; and/or Sentiq’s ability to respond to their queries.
The ways in which we collect personal data include, but are not limited to, data that you directly give us, data that is automatically collected by us, and/ data that we collect from other sources, e.g. third-party software providers.
Personal data given directly to us on how you use our products and services includes: the types of content you view or engage with, and the frequency and duration of your activities. This also includes any data provided to us via e-mail or webform. If you apply for a job at Sentiq, we will collect and process the personal information you provide to us, such as your personal details and other information contained in the materials you submit as part of your application.
Personal data that we collect automatically includes information provided by your visit to our website or any other Sentiq platform. The information we may automatically collect includes: your IP address, log-in information, location information, browser type and version, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, information about your visit, length of visits to certain pages, page interactions, data on the URL clickstream to, through and from our Website, user behaviour such as length of website use, and unique device identifiers, your advertising ID, products you viewed or searched for, "cookies" and "web beacons".
Personal data may be collected from other sources if you use any third-party platforms where Sentiq operates its accounts, such as social media. Personal data may also be obtained through third-party sources that share your personal data through appropriate and relevant legal grounds of data processing, such as entities that provide advertisements, payments and delivery services, and analytics.
We are not intentioned to collect ‘special categories of personal data’, such as religion, race, ethnicity, health or sexuality. Any data pertaining to these categories that is erroneously provided to us will be deleted accordingly, as and when it is discovered.
Sentiq does not make decisions about individuals based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which would produce legal or similarly significant effects.

What do we use your data for?
We collect the information you provide in order to offer you the best online experience of Sentiq’s services and products. We only collect, process, and share data when it is necessary, and for specific and limited purposes.

Who will your data be shared with?
Sentiq will share your personal data internally, and with selected third parties, under the following circumstances:

With regard to the transfer of personal data, we will share this information in accordance with this Privacy Notice. Sentiq will only process and share personal data collected within the UK and the European Economic Area (EEA) to foreign countries under the following circumstances:

How do we protect your personal data?
Through the hosting of our services, we adopt necessary security measures and safeguards to ensure that your personal data is securely stored. Wherever possible, information not necessary for business, operation and legal requirements is rendered anonymous or pseudonymised. Financial information is processed for temporary transactions and is not stored. Access to any personal data is limited via specified and secure access controls, and is shared to third parties via secure and compliant processes and only when required, as stated in this Privacy Notice.
In the event of a data breach that poses a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and the appropriate supervisory authority in accordance with GDPR requirements.
How long will we keep your personal data for?
We will only keep your data for as long as it is required for the purpose it is being processed for. We aim to use as little data as possible, and therefore keep only what is necessary. In line with the grounds of processing, we will take appropriate and timely measures to delete your data.
We will keep your data for a maximum of three years, however long it is needed for, and/or however long we are legally required to hold on to it. We may take measures for it to be deleted before three years have lapsed. Alternatively, once there stops being a legal or business need for your data, we may wish to delete or anonymise your personal data completely.
Our data retention periods are reviewed regularly to ensure compliance with the principles of necessity and proportionality under the GDPR.

If you apply for a role at Sentiq, whether directly or via a third-party platform (such as a recruitment agency, job board, or social media), we will collect and process your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Notice and applicable data protection laws.

Retention:
We retain candidate data for up to 12 months unless required to keep it longer by law or where consent is given to remain in consideration for future roles.
Applicable Law and International Compliance
Sentiq Analytics GmbH operates in Austria and is primarily subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Where applicable, we also comply with the data protection requirements of other jurisdictions, including: the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) for individuals located in Switzerland.
When handling personal data of Swiss-based users, we process such data:

Only for the purposes specified in this Privacy Notice;

Using appropriate safeguards for international transfers, in accordance with Swiss law;

Respecting data subject rights as defined under Swiss FADP.
For international transfers outside Austria or Switzerland, Sentiq ensures equivalent levels of protection through adequacy decisions, contractual clauses, or other lawful mechanisms as described in the “Who will your data be shared with?” section above.

By continuing to use our website and services, you confirm your acceptance of this Privacy Notice and the relevant changes.
We review our Privacy Notice at least annually and update it as necessary to ensure ongoing compliance with GDPR and other relevant legislation.
